The Mission
SecretKeys was founded in 2019 by Ryan McGrath as a small technology incubator aimed at helping companies achieve success in the areas of data usage, security, and user privacy.
We aim to use our decades-plus experience building for startups, brands, and companies around the world, and apply it to this industry. This can mean working with an existing company, providing patches to upstream open source work, or releasing our own products that build on existing work.
In general, we favor work that benefits your average day citizen. Revenue from consulting or services we provide should act as a driving force in the aforementioned ecosystem. Where someone else knows more, we'll seek to empower them rather than reinvent the wheel.
